Simon Cowell: "Paul, you're through to the next round.." haha that made me LOL

But if we were honest, it was a rather scratchy vocal performance, the only part of Drive My Car that was in tune was when the other contestants joined in on the chorus - usually when that happens on an 'Idol'-style show they all sound out of tune and horrible but they came together well there. The guitar solo again, was quite rough too.

Live and Let Die was pretty good overall, though again not the best vocal performance and Simon would be biting his tongue to say something nasty, had Paul been a mere mortal Joe Normal contestant. But Simon was on his best 'Susan Boyle' behaviour tonight!

Great 'Beatle-mop' hairdo there by Paul.. and the Beatle suit.. good to see!

Hey;

Paul has always been the most business/commercial minded. With wanting to re-coup Heather pay-out, Beatle-Re-masters, a new single and A Night in NYC product to sell - I'm not surprised he relented to finally appear on this format.  He probably kept reminding himself "New generation, needs Beatle intro" to himself, over and over again.
