Book released last fall, is an easy read, a broad summary of Paul's life and music, very broad for the dedicated Beatle/Paul fan, but a nice read for folks like me that have only read some of the Beatle books and just the one Paul authorized bio.
It has some of the "gossipy" stuff from other books that the author feels has multiple sources for attribution.
For example, the author claims Linda had "Love relations" with Mick Jagger and Bob Weir of the Grateful Dead before meeting Paul.
There is a small account of Paul's jam in LA with John, Ringo, Nillson and Stevie Wonder.
What I NEVER heard before is the following claim, attributed to Paul (maybe it's old news to you folks?):
After putting together the bulk of Free As A Bird, they - "Incorporated a one-chord vamp that faded into a music-hall-style ukulele bit, which faded along to a familiar voice (John) muttering something that was supposed to be backward gobbledygook. The snippet of tape that had a posttake of
John saying, "That came out nice."
They reversed it and tacked it onto the end. When played back it said: "Made by John Lennon." All the Threetles heard it, separately, apart from each other and all instantly heard it.
Paul attributed to magic.
How about that?!
