http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1216492/I think i find myself in the minority here by saying: what is all the hubbub?
I mean, it was a good movie, but oscar noms? for EVERYBODY? i didnt see so much outstanding acting going on that I felt like it was all soooo deserved, but you know, i am just me: a southern girl, in her late 30s, that watches a few movies. George Clooney is a hired man that goes in to companies when they need to downsize and does all the hard work for them. Fires the employee and directs them to their "options". The company he works for decides to go in a different direction: instead of firing face to face, they now want to do it by kiosk. The brainchild of a new college graduate played by Anna Kendrick. So, she has to travel with Clooney to see the old ropes, before he has to learn the new ones. In the meantime, we see Clooney's relationships, or lack of them with his "girlfriend" played by Vera Farmiga, and his sisters.
I know some of you disagree with me already, so convince me...what IS the hubbub??
i liked it, i didnt LOVE it: 3.5 out of 5.
