I had this album once upon a time, and very much disliked it.
But hearing this song again, I'm thinking 'heck this is a really great track'!!!!
It's disco, begins just like ABBA's 'Voulez-Vous' (did ABBA rip Ringo off? hmmmm) but it's
furious disco, and Ringo is tearing that lead vocal up - he's a disco man with a mission! It's wild and untamed!
And the video is really great! Sure he's boozing his way through it.. but the way they film the girls at the beach, it's really well-done, reminds me a bit of the video clips in the movie Help! with the way the foreground and background have different things to see!
Gonna have to drag up this old record again someday and give it another chance. Thanks for the clip.
