I watched Gimme Some Truth - The Making of John Lennon's Imagine. I've been wanting to see the film for a few years now. Imagine was the first post-Beatles album that I had bought by John. John is likely the sole member who personally-speaking, impresses me the most of the individual Beatles. Growing up, I looked to Lennon and how he spoke to help establish my own self-confidence in my identity.
I'm glad that I saw the film. I was impressed at Lennon's personal sense of charity when he invited his fan inside to sit at table with him.
Physically speaking, of all of the appearances and phases that the Beatles went through, I find Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band with its featured moustaches, sideburns, and bright-colored clothing to be the most visually appealing. However, as far as the post-Beatles era is concerned, my favorite look of Lennon's is that appearance he assumed during Imagine with his rounded glasses, sideburns, and rich hair. It was nice to see Lennon look the way he did. I was disappointed, though, with Lennon's negativity in the studio, namely with his excessive use of profanity. With its cursing and nudity, Gimme Some Truth is clearly not a family film to be watched with children, but it's a fair documentation of Lennon in Tittenhurst. Isn't Tittenhurst a beautiful-looking property?

It is, indeed, a nice parcel...I have yet to see "Gimme Some Truth - The Making of John Lennon's Imagine". I have seen that bit with the fan who showed up at his door...Lennon obviously felt for the guy. A nice story, for sure.
