I keep wondering why they cant add another valve to this pipe. I mean, if they can cut the danged thing off, they should be able to put another valve on it too. Leave it open until they get it over the pipe, so that the pressure doesnt blow it off...and then seal the joint at the bottom of the pipe while the oil is spewing out of the open valve. Yeah I know, easier said than done. Sometimes dumb guys have good ideas too you know.
