(waiting now for Bluebird to pop his head in and say hi to the best NEW Beatle / Macca site around!)
 wave
I have begged him to come along, but he doesn´t want to. That is his loss moon
Awwwww, tell him I said "Gidday". I miss not having him around, comparing our (ratings) 9s to our 10s hahahahaha  cutevil

Here's a question for you all: if the White Album was a single 12-14 track LP, which songs would you cut? Is it still possible to retain certain songs that define the White Album (Helter Skelter etc)? Y'know what I would do? I would put Not Guilty in there, at the expense of Piggies, Savoy Truffle, Long Long Long etc (great songs they are though). So I would have 2 George songs: While My Guitar Gently Weeps and Not Guilty.

Hmmm.... I'll have a go:
1 - Back In The USSR
2 - Dear Prudence
3 - While My Guitar Gently Weeps
4 - Ob La Di, Ob La Da
5 - Happiness Is A Warm Gun
6 - Birthday
7 - Helter Skelter
8 - Not Guilty
9 - Martha My Dear
10 - Blackbird

I'll stop there.. I can't actually do it.  idea Forget I said that!  crazy

i know george martin always wanted this to be a single album. but cutting any of these songs seem unthinkable to me.

Always interesting!  That White Album.  Many people have had fun pruning it down to 14 songs for a single album, which I would NEVER do for real, adding would be better.
George has often said that Revolver and Rubber Soul were really a double album.......

For more double album talk, go to the Paul section and see 11-26-08 entry!
