I wrote a book in the format of the 33 & 1/3 books about The Beatles doing one more album after Abbey Road. I tried to keep as much factual info as possible then shoehorn in the story around it. I put it up on sendspace for anyone to download. It has the book (word file), the album (mp3s) and the album artwork (jpegs) in a zip file. Please feel free to let me know what you think. The book also has pictures that I created to make it as real as possible. Enjoy!

I don't know if anything else will open it since it's a word file. What other software do you have that is like word?

Hi Dave

I'll have to look around for something Open Source to read the book. I guess I'm the only person on the planet that has a Windows based computer and doesn't have Word installed on it.  smileys7 laughing

You could always go on something like Limewire or Frostwire and download word.

Greeting. Dave, and welcome to the site! I am about 1/3 of the way through your book and have found it to be a well-written and thought-out piece...the setlist was particularly good, but how could it not be? :)

We love Beatles "faction", as you call it.....keep it up, eh?

Thanks Mervap. I've never written a book before. It took me over 10 months to do it, but that was mainly because of the detail I put into the pictures. I also kept remembering things that happened during that period that I could work into it. It was a lot of fun.

Welcome Dave, I have the "word" problem, too, but when able I will definitely look at your book.  Congrats!

Ok...I finally read it. I must say, that was really well done. I was questioning your choice of songs when I had the Mp3 set list...but after reading, I can see now that you choose songs that were already somewhat established as songs written while everyone was still a Beatle. I was curious....did the conversations between everyone have some basis of fact too? I mean...did they say those things at some time and you wrote them in as conversation between each other? If so....that's pretty impressive. This is actually a pretty good idea for a movie.  beer

Thanks 2 of 3. Almost all of the conversations did not happen but the ones in the first chapter had some basis in fact. Some things were said and I expanded upon them to make the chapter more interesting. I'm sure a big fan could pick out the quotes that are real. My intention was to confuse the big fan by making it so that you don't know where the real quotes stop and the fake ones begin because I feel it is a believable story.

Well then, you succeeded.....but I should point out...I am easily confused at the best of times. laughing

I watched the BBC movie Lennon Naked and the dialog in that movie was eerily like the dialog in your book. You should check it out if you can.
