Are the remasters that are coming out supposed to sound better than the current remasters? I've got the 2 CD set of "The Definitive Lennon" and the current remasters of "Plastic Ono Band", "Imagine" and "Walls & Bridges". Do i i need to just get rid of everything and start over again or what? Because doing that with The Beatles was a royal pain in the a$$. But they actually needed to be remastered. The current Lennon CDs i got sounds awsome as far as remasters are concerned. So those new "remasters" coming out, are they really remasters or reissues? I just dont see a point in rererererereremastering the albums all the time.

A lot of it I feel has to do with marketing hype to generate the interest, otherwise you're right - you're more likely just to stick with what you already have. Lennon's cds from a sound point of view are perfectly fine to me. Looking forward to the Double Fantasy stripped down version though. Wonder what they'll do with Kiss Kiss Kiss - so much cool stuff going on in that track, what are they going to do.. take away Yoko's orgasmic moans? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!  laughing crazy

The "Double Fantasy" one, i'm looking forard to also, but shouldn't they also do that with "Milk & Honey". That was "Double Fantasy, Volume 2" as far as i'm concerned.
