If YOU could remake a movie

If you were a movie producer, and were asked to do a remake...which blast from the past would you remake...and which actors from today would you put in this movie. The reason I mention this.....I heard that Matt Damon is doing a remake of True Grit. Now...I don't have any details of who is playing the John Wayne roll...but this could be interesting.
I'll Start: High Noon
I say...use Harrison Ford in the sheriff and Gwynth Paltrow as his wife...with Mel Gibson as the bad guy(he will need the job)

I'd love to remake this underrated horror classic. Remember "Wolfen" from 1981?
I would cast John Travolta as Dewey and Julieanne Moore as Rebecka.
And i would put a new twist to it. Remember the rich developer and his wife killed at the beggining? Lets say they have a 7 year old daughter who was with them at the time of the murders but she went missing for about a year. During that year mysterous mutilations of homeless people, drug addicts, hookers, pimps, kept popping up. And you kept hearing far-out stories about "The Wolf Girl of the South Bronx", who these bums believed to be killing them. Finely Dewey and Rebecka (and thier "team"), finelly met up with "Wolf Girl", catch her, tranquilize her, take her to a lab. After that, more grizzley murders of more signicant people happen.

M*A*S*H with Jim Carey and Matt Damon.
American Graffiti with someone. I can't figure out just whom to put in where.
