Relased 2002

With his new band which he used for the Driving Rain album, Paul went on a tour which ended up beeing one of his greatest tours.
Back In the US start off with a great start were you see Paul through a carpet pounding a note on his Hofner bass as the beginning of Hello Goodbye from here it goes in to the old favourite Jet. All My Loving follows and the Getting Better is performed with Paul on guitar, really a surprise to many that this song is chosen,  but it is one of the highlight, so I´ve been told, of the show. Other highlights are when Paul plays the old George song Something on ukulele and his tribute to John, Here Today.

The album can be characterized as a kind of Paul playing his most famous songs, from Beatles over Wings to his solo career. The band plays the Beatles songs so well, maybe the best they have been done?? Paul seemed very satisfied playing with his new band and it seems like it really inspire him to deliver his best.  thumbup thumbup

The front cover on the album shows Paul back!!

this is the concert i have waited to see. his voice was spectacular. his band rocked. he was funny. he told stories. he was charming. and he through in a few more rarities i never expected to see live. when he started singing you never give me your money...alone, on paino...it was breathtaking. he flubbed the lyrics (it mattered not one bit that this was a routine, after actually flubbing the words live...and the reaction was so positive, he decided to keep it in the show)

i had great seats. front row, first balcony. i am at the age where i'm not that interested in standing for three hours to see a rock concert. even a mccartney concert. and the mai tai's were delish. great show. great atmosphere. there was an abundance of sweet smelling smoke wafting in the air thru out. whats up with that?

A completely better experience than the 93 tour...better venue (Phillips Arena) and better seats. I'd also add that it was a better sounding show and the band was awesome!

I have also never seen a better opening...all the circus types with the Fireman music....the video, pulse quickens....that chord, the Hofner silhouetted on the big screen...the triumphant Macca, bass in hand, ready to throw down! And then...I don't remember exactly and if it weren't for the CD, I'm sure I wouldn't remember much of what went down after that....that is, of course, an exaggeration, but this show exceeded my high expectations by a mile. The tributes to John & George were great and my eyes sweated a bunch. Then the Man said he had to go....and more importantly, WE had to go...it was a weeknight. My working buddy was warned in advance to expect no help from me the next day, and I likely fulfilled that expectation.  tired

When I went to see Muse a few weeks ago, my tickets were in a seated area, a pretty good position. It was my first time being seated at a rock concert. While it was enjoyable, I did feel there were a lot of older people around me (surprisingly there were a lot of parents with their kids / middle aged people there) and they weren't so inclined to headbang and really get into it like I did. Felt a bit like a fish out of water. I really wanted to get out there and dance and shake my thang.

If I was going to see Macca, I know I'd want to get out there and get into it full-on.
