Macca and his band recently played at the Olympia in Paris...I wonder if this is a preview of what songs he might play on a 2008 Tour?

"Blackbird"
"Dance Tonight"
"Only Mama Knows"
"Flaming Pie"
"Got To Get You Into My Life"
"C Moon"
"The Long And Winding Road"
"I'll Follow The Sun"
"That Was Me"
"Here Today"
"Calico Skies"
"Eleanor Rigby"
"Michelle"
"Band On The Run"
"Back In The USSR"
"House Of Wax"
"I've Got A Feeling"
"Live and Let Die"
"Hey Jude"
"Let It Be"
"Lady Madonna"
"I Saw Her Standing There"

Encore was "Get Back"

Any thoughts?

Nice to see him doing cuts from the new album, but there are way too many Beatles songs on that list. It's like he's forgotten that he was a solo artist since 1970. undecided

Absolutely...."Band On the Run", "C Moon", and "Live and Let Die" are the only tunes from the 1970's....and he's played them every time. I'd still pay to see it, but let's do "Beware My Love" or "Spin It On"!  rolling

He'll drop about 3 from that list, make it a  base list with about 5 added from past lists - THEN 10 new ones, 6 Beatle and 4 Wings/solo tunes - the hope is the 10 new ones are spectacular enough to please both those who have seen him do his pevious concert songs and the  newbies.

I'm not sure what to think of that list.. the Beatles songs are the same songs he always plays, and of the new songs I wished he'd play the new medley and Mr Bellamy - be adventurous. And yes, he should play Beware My Love, Spin It On, and Venus and Mars / Rock Show. I also wish he would play Take It Away or No More Lonely Nights - he totally avoids all his 80s music now (and most of the 1970s stuff too). Here Today is a fantastic song but so are all the other great songs / hits on Tug of War.

I hope that he will rehearse some new songs for a tour!! I don´t think we can get rid of Hey jude and Let It Be, they are some kind of his trademark

he has said before that he sets a playlist according to what he thinks his fans would like to see. as long as he has that attitude, we will continue to see mostly beatle songs with the obvious hey jude, let it be and yesterday. all great songs, but this fan wouldn't mind seeing some slightly more obscure songs. but since i have no voice in his set list...i will gladly sit back and let the concert virgins applaud and scream when he plays live and let die for the trillionth time. but damn right am i going to be there.

I really don't think there are too many "virgins" seeing his shows. I would bet it's 75% repeat offenders. So, doing newer songs would still make the crowd happy.
