Trick- The Beatles are turned down by every major label in the UK.

Treat- Due to the indefatigable Brian Epstein's efforts, and some luck, the Lads are given a shot by the esteemed George Martin.

Trick- Due to his lack of a working guitar, Paul is lumbered with bass duties.

Treat- Paul throws himself into the instrument and revolutionizes the role of the bass guitar for evermore.

TRICK: Yoko
TREAT: Linda

TRICK:"Paul is Dead"
TREAT:Macca's post Beatle career!

TRICK:John's luke-warm receptiveness to the "concept" aspect of Sgt. Pepper.
TREAT: John's white-hot indulgence in the stripped-down, organic, roots-based White Album!

Trick- The Beatles fire Pete Best, inciting riots that result in a black eye (figuratively) for the group, and (literally) for George Harrison.

Treat- The Lads tap their pal Ringo Starr to replace Pete, a tenfold improvement.

Trick- Floods devastate Bangladesh. (more a tragedy than a trick)

Treat- Following a plea from his mentor Ravi Shankar, George Harrison pulls together an all-star group of caring musicians, resulting the excellent "Concert For Bangladesh", a template for many great charity shows to come.

Same concept - but for this season, its: Negative=Turkey, Positive Wild Turkey bigbeer

Turkey - Beatles never played their great later period songs live in concert

Wild Turkey - Macca tours and does most of them, incredibly well, live

Turkey - Radio-Recording Industry ignores Macca's solo career the past 20 years

Wild Turkey - The public sells out his tours, year after year, and his fan base grows more dedicated than ever

Turkey -  No Beatle re-masters

Wild Turkey - It's coming up (soon, let's hope!)
