there once was a time when i thought i didn't want a cell phone. why would i want someone to have the ability to call me...at any time of day...wherever i am? yeah, well...i no longer think that way. i, like the rest of civilized society, not only have embraced the technology...i can't live without one.

thru the years, i have had nearly every provider. cingular, sprint, verizon and t-mobile. it is my opinion that they are all roughly the same. privately, most will tell you that theirs is the best. but they all have their pros and cons. and i truly believe that one provider is not significantly above any other.

t-mobile has served me well. reasonable prices. great customer service. but a wee bit slow to offer the best phones (i happen to belong to a blackberry). verizon is said to be the most expensive. my sister has at&t. she is somewhat unhappy with the service, but she loves her iphone. so i ask, anyone have at&t? are they happy with their service? is the iphone all it is said to be? does it matter?

You don't know how bad cell providers are until you've sold your soul to Satan..err...I mean a Canadian provider. I finally gave up and went on a Pay as you Go plan. Now at least the phone goes off when I go over. Those 300 dollar monthly phone bills are a thing of the past now. Stick 25 bucks on the thing, if you run out before the month ends..that's fine. I have no reason to be "connected" 24 hrs a day. When I were a lad we got along without it just fine.

Now get off my lawn.  laughing

LC and I both have ATT and are generally pleased with the service. We both love our iphones....ack! Did I just say that out loud? :)

funny, mervap. because...(and i can't believe i am saying this)...i really want an iphone. i am sort of working on a theory. and that theory is cell phones are slowly replacing pc's. when i need to go online, i grab my phone. when i need directions to a place, i grab my phone.

and 2...$300 cell phone bills? what provider was that? drop trousers and take it in the shorts-ular?
