The man is going to be 70 pretty soon. What would YOU like to see him do before he packs it in. I'll go first.

1.   Wings only concert

2.   Work with contemporaries again.  I"d really like him to work with Elvis some more. In fact, I'd like to hear an entire album from these guys...OR...anybody else that would complement the music.  Hey....nothing wrong with a Wilbury's clone.

3.  Go cool looking. Let the hair go grey, grow a beard..show up at other peoples concerts looking like a homeless dude and blow the crowd away.

my wishes are a bit more modest. release rockshow on dvd. release all those unreleased songs. release some of those wings concerts on dvd.

gotta admit tho, the gray haired bearded wierdo with the guitar idea is a good one

I hope not! We don't want him up there in rocker heaven duetting on All Shook Up and Heartbreak Hotel! ;)  crazy

And I certainly don't want him to go grey and grow an old straggly beard.

And I don't want him to pack it in!

My wish would be for him to do what he did in the 80s again, actually record some music that sounds like 2011. He had a great run with Say Say Say, No More Lonely Nights etc, rather than try and recapture the sound of The Beatles, or the sound of Wings, I'd like to see him do an album that feels current. That means, no working with old fogeys and old mates! Ban them from the studio! I don't mean work with younger people either. Just sensible songwriting, great playing and a modern production, don't try to be 'rootsy' or aim for a specific genre or audience. My favourite Macca albums are when everything sounds diverse from one track to another and sounds 'from its time'. That's the sort of thing I like from him. Not 'oh I want to make a rock n roll album' so Run Devil Run comes out, or 'oh I want to dabble in dance music' so a Fireman record comes out. My favourite Macca albums have a bit of everything at once!

Great run? That stuff was horrible. I stopped listening to him during this period. Too painful. *

Loved reading the posts.  Loved it.

Love the beard idea.  Get a trench coat and wear some of those old pants he used to wear up at his farm.  I'm thinking of some of those pics from Linda's first book.

Sit in your living room on the couch, point a video camera at yourself, and just talk and play stuff.  Release it.  Then surprise us by having a follow-up video of people knocking at the door and sitting down to play with you.  Elvis, Ringo, Paul Simon, Mick Jones (Clash), Stevie Nicks, Jimmy Page, Julian, anyone.  After one leaves there's another knock on the door.

Do something with Denny.  Have a two-man show in a local pub on a Sunday afternoon.   Lock the doors.  Who's ever in there is in there.

Release the master tracks for some of his stuff so we could put them on a software program to mess with the tracks, isolate the vocals, bass, whatever.

Get Hugh McCracken, Denny Seiwell, Denny, some others and make an old school Ram-type album.

MEET WITH PETE BEST!

Come over to my house and answer honestly any question I ask you.

I had to edit this after seeing that youtube video of the most interesting Paul in the world:  haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Awesome.

Here's what I'd like to see.

Paul gives his next album away for FREE.

Set up the website to download, have a option to give what ever you want to charity. You don't have to, but any amount would be appreciated. Each country would have a choice of charities in their country to choose from.

Paul would end up with MILLIONS of people downloading his album and charity would get some help too. He doesn't need the money. Plus, I think his ego would be stroked to see 5 million downloads instead of the usual 200 thousand that he has been selling lately.

I like love the free album idea for charity.  He could get a few hundred thousand for full price or a few million for pay as you can.

He could sit on his couch and just screw around like this with old Wings and Beatles stuff.

That's his "Get Back" look. just dye the beard and then give a concert on top of a building somewhere.

I wonder if it would hurt to have a small medley to mix a Beatles' song with his solo (Wings song). Remember how he would do the "Sgt. Pepper LHCB theme? He would have like a little jam in the middle of it, why not replace that jam with BTTE's own "Rockestra Theme"? have it like:
MEDLEY:
SGT. PEPPER'S LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND
ROCKESTRA THEME
SGT. PEPPER'S LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND (REPRIZE)
That wouldn't be bad at all, i think. I wonder why he didn't do that a long time ago. Wouldve been awsome!
