When the Twin Towers went down I saw footage of people cheering and celebrating in the streets.
When they shot Bin Laden in the head and killed him I saw footage of people cheering and celebrating in the streets.

i will always remember where is was on the morning of sept 11. it just may have been my worst day.

however, it says a lot about a society that cheers someones death. even a bad, bad guy's death. it was martin luther king jr. who said..."i mourn the loss of thousands of precious lives. but i will not rejoice in the death of one, not even an enemy. returning hate for hate multiplies hate, adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars. darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that. hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that."

a dude who spoke of peace and love? whodathunkit?
