Everything is being remastered and packaged into digipaks. In my experiance digipaks scratch your CDs. i think jewel cases protect them more, HOWEVER they break easier and they're making less and less of them. the modern packaging is so screwed up. that i keep all my CDs in a big CD wallet. Which do yall prefer?

Honestly, CD wallets can scratch them as well....I prefer jewel cases, but I usually just keep the CDs as a hard copy and put them on my computer.

I keep them as a hard copy too. However , in my experiance the digipaks seems to scratch and smudge your CDs more than wallets. Some CDs are so tightly in there that you struggle to get them out and you end up making lines on your discs. Wallets don't do that, they're not tight. And if you put them in right, you won't scratch them. As you put them in or take it out, pull AWAY from the fabric and when it's in just gently lay it down. It's still kinda hard for me because of my bad eyesight, but basicly i had the best luck with wallets.

For over 10 years now, I seldom actually play cds anymore. I rip them to the hard drive and my computer becomes a one-stop jukebox. The cds go back in their case and onto the shelf to gather dust, and only come out in case I need to re-rip them.
