If you haven't seen this it's fascinating.  At least check out 3:20 and 5:35.  Both really cool.  This guy also explains how John forgot to sing a verse or wanted to add a verse to Working Class Hero but wouldn't play the whole song to add it.  He just wanted to only sing the part he forgot.  Just vintage Lennon approach to a song.  Of course he got his way, and the whole thing was figured out by the engineer.  Worked out great.
