Should "All Things Must Pass" have been on Abbey Road - INSTEAD of "Maxwell's Silver Hammer???????? crazy

There are very few albums I can say this about....I wouldn't change a single thing. It's not perfect, but the overall mood of the record is just as it should be, IMHO.

Yeah, Max and Oct really are a waste of space on Abbey Road. It's easy to say now, because we're used to the overall sound of the album...but if we hadn't heard it before, and those two songs were missing?...say replaced with Maybe I'm Amazed, and It Don't Come Easy? Yikes! cool

Eddie, exactly right - probably why it turned out that way.  Rightfully, Paul had the strongest voice in the "democracy" of the time, but If George Martin and or John had advocated for Harrison's song, it may have happened - or would it have fit, anyway knock  - and no songs would have to be cut?

I love Maxwell's Silver Hammer and would hate to see it go.  I'd chuck Here Comes The Sun or Come Together out before I got rid of good ol' Max!  I'm pretty sure I'll be the only one subscribing to that position thought!     knock

Don't worry, Rick! I'm right with you on the "Come Together" thought...nice song, not much there for me, though.

You cannot. It is futile.  borg

I'd dump Octopus and get Ringo to sing It Don't Come Easy instead. And that way, it gives George more songwriting credit (co-writer) - a win-win for everybody!  beer
