I just purchased the new Macca MAF with the London Ballroom DVD....and finally got the three bonus tracks that most of you have had since the first release date. I love "Why So Blue", but the real winner in there is "In Private", an instrumental. Macca's done a few of these and I wonder how many of you like them...and which are your faves?

he does them pretty well, doesn't he?
one of the high points from driving rain is heather (okay, not a true instrumental...but awfully close) and the uncredited bonus song on chaos is great, too. i have always wished he did more of them. especially with his current band.

Yeah, "Heather" is great and I like the instrumentals on "McCartney"...it IS strange to have a Macca tune with no singing, but some folks don't really think of him as an instrumentalist. I like them and think he should have one on every CD.

i think the highlight from wing's wild life is the near instrumental love is strange...with its wierd reggae groove.
and ( i realize i'm grasping at straws here) the finest moment from chaos is the outro on how kind of you.

Yeah I wore out my Coming Up B-Side to play that song over and over all those years ago. I would actually skip the live version of Coming Up and put the needle on Lunch Box! Ahhh the days before cd players and mp3s...

Junk remain a favorite instrumental. I never tire of it. PBW beat me to the mention of it, so I'll add another:
Celebration
This was floating around in Paul's personal repertoire for a long time before it finally found a home on Standing Stone. I love it in all its variations.
