not that much into the egg noggy thingy...however, when wanting to relax after a long, hard day...it never hurts to sit back and sip on a nice absolut black russian. but you kids out there be careful...if you have to drink...drink in moderation...and never get behind the wheel of your car after drinking puke

when pondering this, i realize know I am not a sipper...I am an actual drinker....these are my favorites, will drink them whenever, wherever:

three wisemen: sounds great for the season, but alas, its a shot and you can go sober to drunk in 60 seconds - equal parts Jack Daniels, Jim Beam, Jose Cuervo

irish car bomb: half pint guinness, shot of bailey's irish cream with a splash of 151 on top of the shot (some people use Amaretto though)

quaalude: equal parts Frangelico, Kaluha, Vodka

i like the flaming dr pepper and purple haze too...

and Celtic Crossing or Takara Plum Wine straight up anytime (i guess those are my sippers...)

so unless youre having the fraternity over, or the lampie, you probably cant use any of those....

ok..i felt bad cause i wasnt helpful, so i got down my bartenders guide and looked at a couple recipes. these either sound good, or i have had them and they are good and i tried to find ones without a thousand ingredients and ingredients that one is likely to have, here goes:

Hot Drinks:

Christmas Cheer: 4 bottles red wine, 16 oz water, 6 oz dark rum, 1 lemon, 12 cloves, 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
stick the lemon with cloves and place in the oven (350 for 15 mins). Heat the wine, rum, water. Add cinnamon and grated nutmeg.
float lemon on top...sounds good anyway...makes 30 glasses

Hot Kiss: 1 oz Irish Whisky, 1/2 oz white creme de menthe, 1/2 oz white creme de cacao, 4 oz coffee, 2/3 oz heavy (double) cream
pour liqueurs and whiskey into a heatproof goblet. add coffee and stir. finish with layer of cream, dust with chocolate powder.

Italian Coffee: 1 oz Irish cream liqueur, 1 oz Drambuie, coffee, whipped cream
add irish cream & Drambuie in heat proof glass, fill will coffee, top with whipped cream

Midnight Snowstorm: 1 2/3 oz white creme de menthe, hot chocolate, whipped cream
creme de menthe in heat proof glass, fill with hot chocolate, top with whipped cream

Cold Drinks:

John Daniels: 1 1/3 oz Jack Daniels, 2/3 oz amaretto, 1/3 oz lemon juice, ginger ale
whiskey, amaretto, lemon juice in a shaker with ice. shake, strain, pour in a highball with ice, top with ginger ale

Barbara: 1 oz vodka, 1 oz white creme de cacao, 1 oa heavy(double) cream
pour all into a shaker with ice. shake, strain into cocktail glass. garnish with nutmeg.

Chocolate Mint Martini: 2 oz vodka, 1 oz white creme de cacao, dash white creme de menthe
pour all in a mixing glass with ice, stir. strain into chocolate powder rimmed cocktail glass.

and two just because of the names:

Balalaika: 1 2/3 oz vodka, 1 oz triple sec/cointreau, 2/3 oz fresh lemon juice
pour all ingredients into a shaker with ice, shake, strain into a cocktail glass, garnich with a slice of orange.

Honeypie: 1 oz white rum, 1 oz cognac, 1 teaspoon clear honey, 2/3 oz heavy(double) cream
pour rum and cognac into a mixing glass with ice, stir. strain into a cocktail glass. shake cream and honey until well mixed. Float cream and honey mixture over barspoon. one of two drops of orange juice, garnish with orange zest.

Let me know if you want more or different kinds...I will read up on em and post :)

........Mmmmmmmmoooore ddddrrinks, lassssie, I'm thirdsty... bigbeer

WoW!  Booze Heaven!.  Those are so funny and I bet some are yummy!

The Italian cofee would require a cup as big as The Stanley Cup to fit all the booze in there.

Lampie, now did you get that name because of a -lamp-shade - you may have worn once, after consuming some of these beverages? (LOL).

Thanks a bunch for those drinks, I can't stop laughing! crazy  Excellent!

Just curious, Lampie, just what the hell did you drink before your McCartney Concert?
