Can you all believe it has been 6 years since "the Quiet Beatle" passed on? 11-29-01....think of all the things that have happened since that date, and it seems like forever, bit it seems like no time ago I was hearing about his death. That's the strange thing about perspective, innit?  undecided

its one of the advantages of growing old. your daughter is how old? you have how many miles on your car? your house is paid for? was it that long ago?

no, it doesn't seem at all like it was that long ago. still miss the old guy, though.

No doubt, an incredible loss - but thankfully an incredible life and if any of the Beatles was prepared for a short life and somehow understanding that part of the mystery of life, it was our George.  Thanks, George.

Needless to say, we'll have some similar feelings, all over again, December 8th, but part of that I don't think about, because it's too troubling and disturbingly familiar to similar tragedies and feelings I have for JFK< RFK and  MLK.

Long Live George!  Long Live John!

Best comment so far, thx. I thoroughly agree w/ this. George spent almost his entire career pursuing the eternal/metaphysical as much as he did music itself. He was prepared. George lives even now. He's always been my very favorite Beatle, although I love all four)

(I only wish George hadnt lived long enough to see 9-11, but unfortunately he died shortly after that tragic event. I'm sure it must've pained him greatly in his final days--further evidence of man's inhumanity to man--the polar opposite of what Hari stood for himself. I can imagine the songs he would've been able to record about this subject. At least we can thank God JOHN never got to see Osama's handiwork...fate spared him, I think)
