There is a new project at Kickstarter.com for the film "The Beatles at their Best".  It is a film focusing on the first 2 years of the Beatles (before Ringo Starr joined the group).  According to John Lennon, this is when the Beatles were at there best.

Good luck with the doco, I always felt that Ringo was so essential to the Beatles that I really haven't had too much interest in Pete. I watched a couple of interviews with him from youtube recently and found them quite interesting but I still think Ringo was the one.
