I was trying to join another message forum, but it said registration has been disabled, well if they don't want anyone else to join then why don't tyhey just shut the whole site down. there are still people posting on it now, i checked the recent messages. there is no email address, no way to contact the administrater, i thought all websites have emails, i guess not. why do some message forums do this?

No clue why a site might do that....could be they don't want to bother with the approval of new members. So many applications to forums are spam or bots of some sort....around 30 per day and I review them to see if they are real or not.

I tried joining a George Harrison board and was unable to, there was no one to contact, really weird, I just didn't get it, although it could have been a technical glitch but they should have had an email address to allow people to contact them.

Some sites get abandoned after the new wears off...I've seen a couple that have just changed hands to someone who just maintains them, not to try and grow them.
