Ringo Starr, ‘Wings’ – Song Review

Ringo Starr exposes his own Achilles heel on his first single from ‘Ringo 2012,’ the solo album expected to be available in stores and at digital retailers on Jan. 31 ‘Wings’ is a less passionate, border-line lifeless vocal performance of a previously released song from the 1977 ‘Ringo the 4th’ album.Listen to the remake below and then find the original on YouTube. No one will claim the Beatle was ever the most talented singer in the world, but in the past he’s been able to overcome his shortcomings with yearning performances and urgent lyrics.

Other than the new vocal being a bit back in the mix, the performance sounds the same to me. They guy is 71...he's not going to get better vocally is he?

You're right Derek...there used to be a little music player bar to click on at the end of the story...but now it's gone.  smileys7
