bio about a young john lennon being raised by his aunt mimi. this earnest young man was let down by everyone who he looked up to. and i think he covered up his disappointment with sarcasm and anger. there was quite an emotional scene where he found out why his mom had him being raised by his aunt. i knew about this movie forever, but finally got around to seeing it. it's good. implies that paul not only taught john (sort of) how to play guitar...but paul talked john into starting to write songs so the record companies didn't make all the money. it wasn't sappy. it wasn't showy. it was nice. and it entertained me. i'd see it again.
