Seattle's Creme Tangerine to perform 4th annual Beatles rooftop concert Jan 27

January 17, 2012, Seattle, Wa – Crème Tangerine, lively and popular Beatles tribute band in Seattle, will perform their annual “rooftop concert” atop the Copacabana Café in Pike Place Market Friday, January 27, at noon. The concert is their 4th annual tribute to the Fab Four’s last public concert on January 30, 1969, which was held spontaneously on the roof of their Apple offices in London, also at noon.It was a bitter cold Friday the day the Beatles ascended to the roof of their office to play for fans one last time. John Lennon wore a huge fur coat, and Ringo Starr shook with cold at his drums. It’s bound to be a chilly one in Seattle as well, given the snowfall occurring as we speak with more frigid temperatures on the way.

Kirkland band Crème Tangerine to perform Beatles rooftop concert

Following their 2009-11 blockbuster performances attended by thousands in Seattle’s Pike Place Market, Kirkland’s favorite Beatles cover band, Crème Tangerine, will once again climb up on the rooftop balcony of the Copacabana Cafe to celebrate the anniversary of The Beatles last performance famously known as “The Rooftop Concert."In what has become an annual tradition in Seattle, Crème Tangerine will perform songs from that concert, as well as the rock masterpiece “Abbey Road," and more at noon on Friday, Jan. 27 on the rooftop balcony of the Copacabana Café in the Pike Place Market (1520  ½ Pike Place) in Seattle.This location was voted “Best Rooftop Balcony in Seattle” by Seattle Weekly readers for 2008-09.
