This may not be even post worthy, but it is nice to hear anything from Julian...

Either things have gone slightly awry between Julian Lennon and his long-term fiancee Lucy Bayliss, or the musician really does enjoy his own company.

According to the Daily Express, the first son of Beatles' legend John Lennon decided to spend this year's festive season in complete solitude.

"I've been enjoying the peace and quiet of Christmas on my own for the first time in my life," the 44-year-old is quoted as saying.

And it seems that the musician, who is unmarried but has been with former model Lucy for 10 years, steered clear of relatives entirely during the Christmas period.

Reflecting on his bizarre decision, Julian added: "There are friends and family in close proximity but I decided to go it alone this year.

"I felt I needed to, to some degree. To be able to be comfortable with myself, to be comfortable in my own skin, to be comfortable with me."

History is full of examples like Julian....offspring of famous people/celebrities/musicians who seem to feel like they have something to live up to. Julian's albums have been of varying quality, with several good tunes....come to think of it, the general public even compares them to their parents, especially if they choose the same vocation. It's unavoidable, I guess. I hope Julian is finding peace.
