Today is National Compliment Day....yep there is such a thing! It was the noted American philosopher and author Henry David Thoreau who had this to say about the art of the compliment:

"The greatest compliment that was ever paid me was when one asked me what I thought, and attended to my answer."


I think that says volumes about the disappearing skill of listening...and about the very thing I enjoy most about this forum: The fact that we all read what each other has to say, consider the thoughts presented and reply in kind. The exchange of ideas is one of the most precious gifts we have...thanks for sharing yours and putting up with mine! wink
