Obama's "Signed , Sealed, Delivered" - works for me!

Hillary's "American Girl" - DOES NOT!  smileys7 If Tom Petty sings it 1/2-time @ The Super Bowl - he better say - "HRC is NOT authorized to use my song!" (LOL)

There are other songs, present and  past - your votes welcome!

I thought Bill Clinton's use of "Don't Stop" was good...of course, later, it took on another meaning! spank

That came in second....how about Ronald Reagan quoting Bruce Springsteen's "Born In the U.S.A."? He should have read the whole thing!

Or better yet George H.W. Bush using "Don't Worry, Be Happy!"  The whole song is about how horrible your financial situation is but he keeps telling you not to think about it!

Two of the most amusing were Sinatra's "High Hopes" tweaked for JFK

and who could forget Sam and Daves's great song, "Soul Man" mutilated for Bob Dole's presidential run to read: "I'm A Dole Man!" (Ouch! smileys7

Word has it that John Mellencamp has requested John McCain's campaign to stop playing his songs at his rallies due to their opposing politics.  McCain's campaign has agreed to stop playing them. laughing

Boston has also requested Huckabee stop playing their "More Than A Feeling", due to distinct political differences, (not neccesarily due to the Huckster's bass-playing LOL). bigfinger

Nice to see Jackson Browne just sued McCain for using "Running On Empty" not only in campaign stops but also using Browne's song AND VOICE/BAND in one of his commercials!

You'd think, they'd at least know a basic copyright law, #$$  &*(@ s!
