John sounds really good on this album, his voice is one of his great assets always has been. I can enjoy Lennon's songs from this album, they're quite nice. But the main problem i have with it is the problem I have with all his solo albums, he only writes songs about himself. He made this out to be a virtue, but to me it is a denial of the imagination and it really limits the range and the interest of his albums.
