I haven't read Scott's book yet but I would like to say something about him.  I worked with him for roughly six months and he always seemed the most human of Bush's communications staff.  He always looked so uncomfortable during his press briefings and he never seemed like the guy I got to know in Austin.  In Austin he was very genuine to everyone - from us "lowly" interns to then-Gov. Bush himself.  It looks as though he finally woke up to what was going on around him and felt very, very uncomfortable - as I did a few years ago.  I'm looking forward to reading the book and I hope it's something we can all learn from.

Thanks for giving us an insider's point of view on Mr. McClellan...I've seen some interviews with him since the book came out and he seemed to be just as you described: human.

I believe McClellan is doing the American public a great service pointing out the characteristic lies and subterfuge used by The Bush Admin. to sell us a war that we had no busy fighting in the first place. Many lives needlessly lost. Some call S.M. a traitor, I dont...I think the word true "patriot" might be more appropriate. Keith Olbermann's inteview w/ Mr. McClelland was top-notch and very illuminating.

S.T.
