It just occurred to me that on my part of the planet, Summer has gone. Wow, how did that happen. Maybe I should listen to the radio more often...it is usually programmed for the season. I mean, you almost never hear The Beach Boys in winter....or....In The Summer Time by Mungo Jerry. or...Summer in the City by the Lovin Spoonful.

Got any other famous SUMMER songs?

and while your at it.....are there Autumn/Fall songs out there?

Two perfect songs for this time of year, transitioning from Summer to Fall are:

Summer Song - Chad and Jeremy "...and dream of you ....."

Summer Rain - Johnny Rivers -  "Everybody kept on playin' Sgt. Pepers Lonley Hearts Club Band..."

Summer Breeze- Seals & Croft

Summertime Blues- Eddie Cochran, Blue Cheer, The Who......

and the immortal "Wish I Had a Girl" by Henry Lee Summer

For some reason, the old Simon & Garfunkel song "Scarborough Fair" brings an Autumn-like feeling....

How about "Winter Rose/Love Awake" from "Back To the Egg"

or try "Wintertime" from Steve Miller Band...

Or perhaps "Snowblind", by the immortal band STYX!
