I just wanted to say Thank You.

Quote
In Flanders Fields
By: Lieutenant Colonel John McCrae, MD (1872-1918)
Canadian Army

IN FLANDERS FIELDS the poppies blow
Between the crosses row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.

A fine reminder for all of us that freedom is not free, that it has been purchased not only with ideas on paper, but bought with the sweat and blood of people who thought those ideas were worth their very lives...and to those still serving the cause of freedom all over the world, we owe the same respect and admiration for their selfless service!

Thanks for the note and the reminder that these valuable people and principals are to be respected and treasured and not mis-used, abused or used by anyone.

Paul's somg,  "Freedom" is often misunderstood becuase the spirit of his song was hi-jacked by those who would try to use it for a selfish purpose.  It's an apt song, especially today.
