I went to see this movie expecting a twist on Schindler's List. Nope.

I went to see it because of Daniel Craig, of course... (And Liev Schrieber...I like him too), but the movie taught me something..i like that.

This is based on a true story of brothers in Belarus that escape to the nearby woods after  the nearest town becomes a Jewish Ghetto and their parents are murdered by the Nazis. The four of the them and a few others begin living in the woods and eventually become an organized community as more and more people join them having either fled their homes or escaped the Ghetto. As a group, they lived through 3 harsh, brutal winters. When they walked out of the woods, there were over 1200 of them...

It reminds you of what we can do when we stick together, and how difficult it can be when we don't.
