..do you think he would still be active in the music industry? Who would you think he would be collaborating with? Do you see him still trying to make a difference to the world? I believe the Live Earth and Live 8 concerts would be right up his alley. But then again, maybe John's one of those guys who watched 'The Great Global Warming Swindle' and have a different take on things. I wonder how John would see the world today. He saw through the lies and corruption of the day and he was also open-minded towards philosophies of love and consciousness. Rather than kiss up to the establishment like Bono, I see John as more of a renegade. Maybe he would team up with Rage Against the Machine! I think he would be a cool guy in his sixties, and a great guy to have around today.

I'm pretty sure he's be hanging out with Eddie Vedder.
And of course, he's be singing with Paul again too..no doubt about that.

I'm pretty sure he's be hanging out with Eddie Vedder. You think? Maybe. Personally, I'd think JL had had enough of overt radicalism...I think he'd be proudly telling anyone who'd listen about Sean's new records, occasionally showing up onstage with various musician friends and making some good music when the mood struck. He would most likely have chosen his causes carefully, having been burned by some people in the early/mid seventies. I also think his sense of humor would have become more visible again...maybe he would have written some more books.

Good post. John was definitely showing signs of that as he slipped into that role of house-husband and doting dad. Priorities shift as life passes. I like to think John and Paul would've made several collaboarations, maybe in the vein of The Ballad of John and Yoko - where John played guitar and vocal, and Paul played drums, bass and backing vocals. That would be cool, like a side project, maybe followed up with a full Beatles reunion. I couldn't imagine him wanting to tour like the Stones though, but I could see him playing important gigs like the Live Aid etc.

He would be divorced from Yoko. He got the family thing out of his system within a few years, and he'd be out there, showing everyone how it's done..again. He'd be playing with Paul Weller and Bono and we'd get Plastic Winston Band. Mellow wasn't Lennons style...at least not for long. The war in Iraq would not sit well with John, and we'd hear about it..one way or another.

Blogs are great. I like to search blogs for rare out-of-print records, and sometimes there are band members and relatives etc that actually write comments on there and talk about what they are doing these days and it's great to know the music is still being heard today.

I guess by the mid eighties he would be living in England. He was too homesick. Yoko kept him for taking drugs and he would a spokesman for being healthy. He would play music with his sons, but I don´t he would work together with Paul. Only for 2 songs for The Beatles Anthology.

Paul said in a recent interview he reckoned The Beatles would've eventually gotten back together and taken advantage of the modern technology. I'm sure he'd be able to twist John's arm to do more than just the Anthology! They came close to reuniting in 1976 but Paul was glad they didn't in hindsight because of the risk to the legacy. They wouldn't want to do something that may not be as good as their earlier stuff.
Hey, here's a spooky thought - do you think John has ever tried to contact Paul from 'the spirit world'? Has Paul ever mentioned anything like that? There was a tv show a while ago that tried to contact the spirit of John Lennon - I wonder what happened there? I truly believe his spirit is out there and there are people capable of tuning into his spirit.

Has Paul ever mentioned anything like that? There is an interview somewhere, where Paul mentions that as kids, they said who ever died first would try and contact the others. He said, so far, he hasn't heard a peep.

He would be divorced from Yoko.
there's no way of predicting this...after all, Paul was with Linda for many, many years, and John & Yoko were at least as devoted to each other as Macca & Eastman were...(just my opinion)
