Macca really makes that song a special occassion - and he introduces "Day Tripper" in this concert performance - what a fabulous bonanza!

Thanks for sharing that video, really good version. Takes me back to when I had the 45 as a wee kid and playing the B-side Girls School which turned out to be the song I preferred, but they're both great for different reasons. Maybe it's cos Girls School reminded me a bit of the end credits on 'WKRP in Cincinatti' - that pumped up honkin' rock sound.

But Mull of Kintyre, always a classic song. Love it. And he's still singing it brilliantly, in the same original key. Not many other guys can do that now. Ask Robert Plant, Phil Collins, Elton John etc.

Haha 2/3, I ended up wearing that side of the record out, it was a hot track. Very much in the vein of Junior's Farm.

Macca is one of those guys where the B-sides are sometimes better than the A-sides. I remember loving 'Flying to My Home' more than My Brave Face. 'Soily' rather than the live version of Maybe I'm Amazed. The live version of Coming Up & Lunch Box / Odd Sox over Coming Up, Daytime Nighttime Suffering over Goodnight Tonight.

And fast-forward to the 21st Century.. Comfort of Love over Fine Line!
