With the long awaited upgrade of the Beatles Catalogue coming, 9-9-09 , I'm wondering how members of Let's Talk Beatles are going to respond to it.

From what I can gather, no downloads.  CD's, individual, boxed sets of stereo, of mono and a deluxe box, lots of product, $$$.

The poll question is:

How do you plan to respond to the new Beatle releases?

A. Buy a box, immediately

B. Buy 1 or 2  CD's at a time.

C. Wait, read, hear word of mouth reviews, friends CD's before buying anything.

D. Skip the new releases, listen to the Beatles as I always have.

E.Save up, then combine with Birthday and/or Christmas request for a box CD gift.

F. Buy ALL boxes, individual CD's, Midnight 9-08-09.

G. OTHER?

Real curious about the answers!

Given that these boxes will be available the same month as my Birthday, I shall likely combine A and E.

I'm a D.   I have the vinyl and I'll prob never change.  Once in a long, long while I'll put Beatles For Sale on ipod when I run.  I'll put some obscure live stuff on a cd to listen to in car, but I rarely will listen to the orig stuff on anything but the records on my home stereo.

I hope a friend gets the stuff though so I can hear it.  If a friend is leaning towards getting it I'll be a huge supporter of the idea.  Actaully I need to call my friend Pete to get the idea started in his head.

Yeah, actually I will email him.  He will be totally turned off by the idea because he doesn't do message boards.  But once he sees the discussions he may want to jump in.

Great feedback.............

I go with B

Even if money wasn't a factor, I would choose B.

I like to totally absorb myself in a CD, back to front, side to side (easier when the music was LP- sized)

More than 2 and I'm sure, I'll be overwhelmed.

For me: I may wait for reviews -  or an opinion expressed here at LTB, to see which CD makes the largest sonic leap.  Then go from there, factoring my personal favs (which might be hard as about 8 are tied for 1ST!) into the mix.
