We're all excited about the Re-masters and which albums we'll get first, which will sound better, most different and improved.

Since ALL the Beatle songs are getting the re-format - and considering the single format or "cherry-picking" process:
Which 5 or more songs are you most anticipating?  Which songs do you think will benefit the most, will be most interesting and your most curious about?

I'll start:

1.The Word from Rubber Soul - a great song that I think has more to reveal in sound, dynamics and harmony.

2.A Day In the Life/ Being For the Benefit of Mr.Kite - Sgt. Pepper -  great sounds, in great songs will prove to provide chilling haunts.

3. Happiness Is A Warm Gun - White Album - I think this will explode off the CD into having the Beatles take up life in our ears and eyes.

4. Tommorow Never Knows - This Revolver song is certain to trigger an aural trip to euphoria.

5. Abbey Road Suites - Abbey Road - Virtually the entire 2nd half of the original LP will be show-cased in this format, showing off time switches, changing tempos, musical mood shifts, harmonies and actual Beatle jamming!

Real interested in hearing your picks, there are literally 100's of highlights to come!
Pick 5 or more! beach

Well....

Savoy Truffle.......the WA mix seems very muddy....I have a feeling there will be some interesting stuff on this one....perhaps just hearing Harrisons vocal up front will be enough.

Don't Let Me Down....original B-side version......John and Paul's vocal on this one gives me goosebumps....and George's interesting little guitar bits....can't wait.

Blackbird......I have a feeling it will sound like Paul is singing it in a meadow...should be brilliant

This Boy.....Harmony at it's best.

Helter Skelter.....well duh.  ;)

Good Ones, Rog, no worries - no limits! (LOL)

Here's some more of mine:

1. Day Tripper - Will John's tambourine steal the fab riffs here?

2. I Saw Her Standing There - has a studio cut, recorded "live" in the studio ever sounded so live - and will the re-master make it able to wake and shake the dead!

3. You Can't Do That - John's Rick', George's 12-string Rick' -anticipating the guitar break to be only matched by John's ferocious vocals.

4. I Am the Walrus - If the version on LOVE is a preview - and the leap forward from that is at least equal in improvement - this could top them all in improvement from original releases.

5. What Your Doing? - (See Walrus comments and apply to this song)

6. Lovely Rita - Thinking this song will have increased 'space,' separation and bounce.

Got More? dance1

I still think the remastered version of Savoy Truffle is still muddy, still heavily-compressed, perhaps it was originally mixed that way and impossible to work miracles with it.

Generally speaking, I think the songs sound as good as they possibly can, with the added benefit of a bit more bass and the hiss removed.

How many of you see an old post of yours....and dont have any recollection of writing it? Maybe it's old age setting in, but sometimes I think my account is being hacked. laughing
