This is another happy memory for me as a kid, having heard all the Wings albums before I got into The Beatles. I always loved the seaside feel to the songs, and I've Had Enough was a huge favourite of mine for ages. But again, everything on here was great to me. Cuff Link, Backwards Traveller, Don't Let It Bring You Down. Had a fabulous glossy poster of Paul, Linda and Denny inside, now that's something you don't get in these days of cds and digital downloads!

It spoke volumes to me that The Big Guy failed to list this album, that Mr. K would have to correct the error...this album gets forgotten easily, at least with myself. Better than its predecessor, but failing to reach the heights of Wings' best output, the making of this album was rife with distractions...The Maccas had a baby and 2/5 of the group quit in the interim. Having said that, the record has a surprising continuity....no real wild swings and misses. There were a couple of hit singles, sales were respectable....there was just really nothing exceptional on this album, to my ears. Late 70's production values sometimes tend to sound thin to me....even the rockers on this one lack power. "With a Little Luck" was a fine single and "I've Had Enough" was fun (my fave from this set)..."Name and Address" would have sounded right at home on "Run Devil Run"..."Cafe On the Left Bank" is kinda euro-disco, but still cool...outside of these, the rest of the album is very, well, likeable.

Yeah and don't forget that Paul did a great job of his version of Girlfriend - better than Michael Jackson's cover version the following year. The falsetto is sublime. And another sly favourite of mine is Famous Groupies. The title track is a classic song.

I guess this is the forgotten Macca album. Some really great songs on this album With A Little Luck, one of my faves. In fact the whole album is quite good. The exception Children Children and Deliver Your Children, can´t stand these!!

Backwards Travvellor could have a great song, I have a long version which really rocks!!

i always looked at this record as...trying. he tried to stretch out and rock a bit (but to me it seems forced...and artificial)

the harmonizing on with a little luck could have made john and george wake up and wonder if they had been drugged and propped up in a recording studio, singing backup for paul incognito...it was just (beatly) perfect.

i've had enough starts off with promise...but he takes too long to start the vocals...and then just falls flat because of it.

some fun, experimental parts though...morse moose has a bit of loup in it (which is a good thing for me...i enjoy quirky paul)

all in all...a sad ending for the best of wing's lineups. this is not how a great rock band should have fluttered out. too bad back to the egg was a different lineup (not that i have a problem with the band on back to the egg...BTTE actually made a near perfect swan song for the band) its just too bad london town was the last album released by this incarnation.

Children Children is like a children's song, a folky song, would have made a good tv theme for a children's tv show, like The Lost Islands or one of those old shows. It's not the strongest tune on there but I like it.

Deliver Your Children is one of my favourite Denny Laine songs, right up there with Time To Hide and The Note You Never Wrote. Really cool. I could imagine Bruce Springsteen doing a good job of that song.

I like this album, it's laid back, I really like the title track, there are a few tracks that seem like duds to me but

London Town
Cafe on the Left Bank
I'm carrying
Backwards traveller
Cuff Link
With a Little Luck

are all good, but that title track probably makes the album for me, it just seems so Paul with his little stories of the mundane that he loves so well, also it's just so English, in a really charming way.

'Don't Let It Bring You Down' is probably my favourite track. So haunting, and inspiring at once.
